Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. After I read the first page I was a bit apprehensive on where this story would go. I remember reading Center's earlier books, The Bright Side of Disaster, Get Lucky and Everyone is Beautiful and having really enjoyed both of those books, decided to give her latest a try. I was quickly immersed into the lives of Libby and her family in this small Texas town. I just fell in love with these characters and how the story was told.This was a quick and fun book that I read at the beach but I would not put it in a fluffy “beach read” category. Now, it’s officially available to stream on Netflix! Such a character driven story with life lessons throughout.

Six Foot Pictures is currently adapting her fourth novel, The Lost Husband, into a feature film starring Josh Duhamel, Leslie Bibb, and Nora Dunn. I like her characters that seem like regular people, but are also just a little bit quirky.
The letter comes out of the blue, and just in time for Libby Moran, who, after the sudden death of her husband, Danny, went to stay with her hypercritical mother. There's the attraction portion of the story but more poignant is the life lessons about doing what's right because it's the right thing to do.
I won't give away the story, but trust me, you won't be able to put this book down.Yes, it is very true.

Everyone in this book seems to be stumbling along, mourning some aspect of their lives, with little true direction (except, perhaps for Aunt Jean).Katherine Center, the author of THE LOST HUSBAND, could easily have cut her title down to two words and called her book THE LOST. It was released April 2020 and it is currently on Netflix
