As Gil Tucker reports, it's a challenging time for the families but the community has stepped up. at around 1:50 p.m. and helped evacuate houses in the area.When crews arrived, two houses were engulfed and a third was threatened, so they immediately called a second alarm to ensure adequate resources, according to "Unfortunately, four homes did sustain damage in this incident," he said.The CFD explained that "two homes were significantly damaged with fire extension damaging the siding of two adjacent homes. Two homes were gutted and the two neighbouring homes received exterior damage from the blaze. It was also done to protect the adjacent homes on either side of those two involved houses,” said Barrs. Barrs said the fire originated in one of the homes and jumped to the second before emergency crews arrived.
