These features come together to make the badge uniquely Victorian.Victoria’s inaugural Fire Rescue Commissioner Ken Block has more than 40 years of fire and rescue experience.Ken was the Chief Fire Officer of the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services in Canada from 2009 to 2020 and served three terms as the President of the Canadian Association of Fire Chief’s (CAFC).Ken has worked with career and volunteer firefighter organisations and allied agencies across Canada. There are 21 Fire Departments in Victoria County, Texas, serving a population of 91,518 people in an area of 882 square miles.There is 1 Fire Department per 4,358 people, and 1 Fire Department per 41 square miles.. In addition to the certifications issued by the province, both mechanics are Master Level, Emergency Vehicle Technicians. This hall has two large vehicle bays that houses Ladder Two, Engine Two and one back-up pumper. We accomplish this by: 1. At the front of the building, there is also a small museum that houses our old steam pumper. There have been several upgrades made to the hall over the years, one of those being the seismic upgrades in 1991 and again in 2007. It houses the Administration, Prevention, Training, Mechanical and Suppression offices, as well as Emergency Management. Every one of them, including the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission, made it clear that the state’s services are in desperate need of modernisation.The Government is making changes to address these issues and ensure Victorians can rely on a modern and local fire service to keep them safe.On 1 July 2020, a new organisation was launched – Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) – bringing together all MFB and career CFA firefighters.

Fire fighter Dave Norren was tasked to liaise with the architect to ensure that the current and future needsof the fire department were met during the design stages. The majority of the fire apparatus is housed in one of the seven vehicle bays here, which include a number of historical pumpers.In the middle of the vehicle bay floor there is small office which is occupied at all times by an Alarm Room Operator, who provides dispatch and switchboard services for the Victoria Fire Department.Directly off the apparatus floor are the administration offices which houses three clerks, as well as offices for the Fire Chief, two Deputy Chiefs, the Chief Training Officer and a conference room.
