I definitely identified with the main character in that, as I was going through similar circumstances at the time. This is very typical Jacqueline Wilson - characters dealing with family issues. Although Frankie lacks some of the grit and harder experiences that other characters of Wilson’s have experienced, is is a great portrayal of early teenage love; it includes other aspects like Frankie’s moms illness too, that I really relate to. Love Frankie.
