I have to admit that I did not treat my brother well as a child. Smile and Sisters is fantastic; both are memoirs in nature. Raina Telgemeir owns this market.

I am grateful. The McAvoy Sisters Book of Secrets is a beautifully written novel about family, unconditional love, loss, grief, growth, and strength. The story is told through four different family members; the mother, Meredith, the two adult daughters, Delia and Lindy, and Brin, Delia’s daughter. One analysis of Father Flynn's illness throughout the second version of the story shows that Joyce deliberately implied that Father Flynn had central nervous system syphilis. Published Younger sister, Delia, stayed in town, married her sweetheart but abandoned her college plans to raise her baby and take over the family business.

Some surprises await in thisIt was hard to put down this novel about family, missed opportunities, truth and lies. Someone, he got over it and we get along pretty well now. It definitely made me wish I had a sister or daughter to share this story with.This was a wonderful story about family secrets, growing apart and coming back together. And truthfully, she couldn’t even say where it came from.

I've read many of these comfy and predictable books over the course of the past few months, and this one was the most satisfying and enjoyable of the bunch.I was supposed to be working today, but I snuck off and hid in a cosy corner to read this book. This taut, unforgettable adventure is storytelling of the best sort. She chose this book because she is inspired by Raina Telgemeir and after reading this, it is easy to see why. Delicious treats! So, it was kind of like reading a novel with most of the adjectives removed.

This graphic memoir includes real issues that affect everyone: sibling rivalry, how age gaps affect the sibling relationship, parental conflict, and my personal favorite...fear of snakes.
