Halton police say an inmate who was mistakenly released from Maplehurst Correctional Complex in Milton was recaptured today.Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on August 17th, police were contacted by staff that the prisoner had been released and that 28-year-old Amritpal Singh Aujla was seen leaving the correctional complex on foot.At the time of his mistaken release, Aujla was facing charges of drug possession, possession of stolen goods and possession for the purpose of trafficking.After 10 days on the run, Halton police say Aujla was found and apprehended today in North York.He will face additional charges in connection with his release and arrest.We've sent an email with instructions to create a new password.
